Joanna Teris is a Latina actress born and raised in Queens, NY. 

 

She has been featured in various roles of independent films, web-series, stage readings, podcast, and on the stage at the Signature Theatre in NYC.

Joanna has extensive training in on camera acting and scene study with Anthony Abeson Studio in Manhattan and Lauren Patrice Nadler Studio in Los Angeles. She is a bilingual actress known for portraying strong, complex, and commanding women — from cops, detectives, and agents to lawyers and military types reminiscent of Lioness. Casting directors recognize her for her edgy, savvy, no nonsense force of energy, effortlessly embodying characters who lead with grit, while also bringing sharp wit and grounded humor to her work.​

When she is not acting, she is actively training in martial arts, earning her Black Belt in Taekwondo as well as her next traveling adventure with her most adventurous climb achieving the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
